Getting started

Your first hour: what to build first, how the queues work and how to stay safe while you grow.

For beginners 3 min read Numbers from Andromeda, read 17 October 2026, 20:41 UTC

You start with one planet of 163 fields, 500 metal and 500 crystal. This universe builds at 1x speed and its mines produce at 1x, so everything below happens that much faster than in a plain universe. Its storage buildings hold 1x their base capacity.

Build mines first

Metal, crystal and deuterium come out of mines, and every mine level costs more than the last. Early on, raise the Metal Mine and the Crystal Mine one level after the other, and add the Deuterium Refinery once you need deuterium for research and flights.

Mines need energy. When the energy on the overview runs short, production slows down: build the Solar Power plant before the next mine. Buildings lists every building and what it costs.

Keep the queues busy

Buildings, research and the shipyard each have a queue that keeps running while you are away. Queue the next level before you log off and come back when it is done. The Robot Factory shortens every build time on its planet, and the Research Lab unlocks research; Research says what to research first.

Stay out of reach

Resources sitting on a planet are what raiders come for. Spend them, or keep them moving, before your storage fills up. A few defences turn an easy target into a bad one; Defences lists them.

Vacation mode, in the settings, takes your planets off the board while you are away; once switched on it lasts at least 3 days.

One account per player

Each player plays one account in a universe. Accounts that keep signing in from the same address are flagged, and flagged accounts cannot send fleets to each other, trade or reinforce one another until an admin has looked at them. Sharing a home, a workplace or a school network is fine: the notice on your account page has a field to tell the admins who the other player is, and they allow such pairs.

Follow the First Steps list

The First Steps page walks you through 11 stages of the early game, one goal at a time, each with a reward when you claim it.

Claim your daily rewards

Claim the bonus in the dock whenever it is ready; Daily rewards and games lists everything you can collect.

Next steps

When your mines run well, read How bonuses combine and Fleet speed and fuel, and Choosing a universe when you want a second universe.

Questions

What should I build first?

Metal and crystal mines, with a solar plant whenever they run short of energy. Production pays for everything else.

Can I be attacked right away?

Other players can attack you once they reach you, so spend or move your resources before your stores fill up and build some defences early.

What happens while I am offline?

Your mines keep producing and your queues keep running. For a longer break, vacation mode in the settings keeps your planets out of reach.
