Separate galaxies, separate economies, separate politics. A fast universe rewards
people who can check in often; a slow one rewards people who plan. Your account
is the same in all of them, so trying a second costs you nothing.
Zyperax is an economy sim with consequences. You spend the first weeks compounding
production and the rest of the round deciding what to do about everyone else
doing the same thing.
Mines, power and the queue
Metal, crystal and deuterium come out of mines that cost more at every level and eat power you have to build separately. The build queue is the whole early game: what you put in it now decides what you can afford in six hours.
Research that unlocks hulls
Every ship, weapon and shield sits behind a lab level. Research is slow, cumulative and the reason two players with the same resources are not equal.
Fleets with flight time
Ships take real hours to arrive. Send them badly and you watch the clock knowing exactly what is about to happen and being unable to stop it.
Alliances and pacts
Shared defence, shared intel, shared enemies. Most of what happens in a universe is decided in an alliance chat, not on a battle report.
Espionage, raids and the debris field
Scan a neighbour before you commit. Raid the ones who leave resources lying around, recycle what is left of the losers, and expect the same done to you the week you stop paying attention. Expeditions send fleets into empty space for whatever they find out there.
Getting started
Three minutes to your first mine
Pick a universe
Fast if you check in often, slow if you would rather plan. A new universe means empty galaxies; an old one means neighbours who already know each other.
Create your account with an email address and password, then enter a universe from your account panel to begin building your homeworld.
Queue something and leave
Mines build while the tab is closed. Come back in an hour, spend what accumulated, and keep going. Nothing in Zyperax needs you at the keyboard.
Questions
Before you start
Yes. The whole game is playable without paying. Money buys antimatter, which converts to dark matter; dark matter buys officers, boosts and services that every player can also earn by playing. Vanguard, the account premium, adds comfort, looks and a small daily bonus, never production or combat strength. Vanguard also grants Stellar Ore, which buys only account cosmetics and display name changes on zyperax.com.
Ten minutes a day is a real way to play a slow universe. A fast universe rewards checking in more often, which is exactly why there is more than one. Your empire produces whether you are there or not.
Yes, one commander in each. They share nothing but your login: separate planets, separate research, separate alliances. Switch between them from the account panel without signing in again.
Yes. Create an account with your email address and a password. Your email also lets you recover access if you forget your password.
You lose whatever was sitting on the planet, and you get a battle report explaining precisely how. New players are protected for their first weeks, and holiday mode takes you off the board entirely when you need it.
Yes. One person playing several accounts is not allowed, so for the multi-account check we keep the addresses each account signs in and plays from for 90 days. When two accounts keep sharing an address, both see a notice; if you live in the same house, tell the admins and they will mark your accounts as one household. Accounts that share an address can be kept from sending each other fleets or trading cards.
