For dark matter the planet cloak hides all your planets and moons from espionage probes and the sensor phalanx for a while.

The planet cloak hides every planet and moon you own from scans for a while.

What it hides

  • Espionage. Probes that arrive while your cloak runs see nothing: no report, no counter-espionage, and they fly home. You are still told that someone tried.
  • The sensor phalanx. A phalanx scan of a cloaked player shows no fleets and costs the scanner no deuterium.

The cooldown counts from the moment you buy, so you can cloak again once it has passed. You can end a running cloak early on the Planet Cloak page; the cooldown stays. A cloak cannot be bought while your account is in vacation mode.

Questions

Does the cloak stop attacks?

No. It hides what is on your planets and which fleets are moving there; a fleet can still attack a cloaked planet.

Does ending the cloak early shorten the cooldown?

No. The cooldown runs from the moment you bought the cloak, whether it ran to the end or not.
