Galaxy and density map

How the galaxy is laid out, what the galaxy view costs and how the density map shows where the space is.

This universe has 9 galaxies of 400 systems each, and every system has 15 planet positions. Flights inside one system are the shortest and flights between galaxies take longest (Fleet speed and fuel).

The galaxy view

The galaxy view shows every planet, moon and debris field of a system, with its owner. Moving it to another system costs 10 deuterium from the planet you look from. From there you can spy, attack or send a fleet in one click.

Moons and the phalanx

A moon forms from the debris of a battle (Combat). A Phalax Sensor on a moon shows the fleets flying to and from the planets in its range, and every scan costs deuterium.

The density map

The density map shows, for free, how full every galaxy is, in ranges of 20 systems. It counts all planets, or only those of active players: players who were online in the last 7 days and are not on vacation. Your own planets are marked, and every range links to the galaxy view at its first system.

While pirate bases run, a filter shows the bases you can see in each range (Pirate bases).

While asteroid mining runs, a filter shows the fields within your reach in each range (Asteroid mining).

Questions

Where should I settle my colonies?

Near your home planet for short flights, or in an empty range of systems for quiet neighbours. The density map shows where the space is.

Does looking at the galaxy cost anything?

Moving the galaxy view to another system costs a little deuterium; the density map is free.
